PRECISION TURBO PRO NITROUS VS BOOST

 

1/8th Mile - 32 car qualified field with alternates…

 

REQUIREMENTS, SPECIFICATIONS AND WEIGHTS

 

BODY: Funny car or one piece bodies not allowed even if equipped with doors. Maximum front end overhang of 45” as measured from centerline of front spindles. An SCSN accepted extension may be used to reach 45” if the front end overhang of the body is less than 45”. All bodies must originate from a production vehicle. All new cars must be accepted by the SCSN competition department prior to construction. All vehicles must be professionally finished, painted, lettered, numbered and decaled.

 

DOORS: Required. Doors must be functional and able to be opened from both the inside and outside of the vehicle. Doors may be fabricated from carbon fiber, fiberglass or metal. A metal deflector between the fenders and the leading edge of the doors is required.

 

DRIVER LOCATION: Must be in stock location, on left side of vehicle.

 

GROUND CLEARANCE: Minimum of 3” required from whatever portion of the vehicles body or chassis that breaks staging beam to 12” behind front axle centerline.

 

SUSPENSION: Race car type suspension required. Solid suspension prohibited. Shock absorbers required for all four wheels.

 

ENGINE SETBACK: Maximum of 10% of total vehicle wheel base as measured from the centerline of the forward front spindle to center of front spark plug hole.

 

CENTRIFUGAL SUPERCHARGER: Any Single Allowed. Must be SFI certified.

 

NITROUS OXIDE: Allowed with the following limitations…. 960 cubic inch maximum limit with Cylinder Bore Spacing set at a maximum of 5.300”

 

ROOTS SUPERCHARGER: 14-71 Superchargers only. No overdrive restriction. No rear gear restriction. Must be SFI certified.

 

SCREWCHARGER: Engines are limited to  115% overdrive.  All other engines have no overdrive limitations.  Maximum bore space is 5.0 inches.

 

TURBOCHARGER: Maximum of 102 mm Turbo's twins (see weight Breaks). Unlimited for singles. Must be SFI certified.

 

NITROUS WEIGHTS:

BB Nitrous 2375 lbs.

SB Nitrous 2075 lbs

 

SUPERCHARGED WEIGHTS:

BB ScrewCharger 115% Max OD 2600 lbs

BB Roots Supercharger 2450 lbs.

SB Roots Supercharger 2350 lbs

(Single Centrifugal -100 lbs)

 

TURBOCHARGED WEIGHTS:

BB Twin Turbo's MAX 102mm.  2600 lbs.

BB Twin Turbo's Max 98mm. 2550 lbs

BB Twin Turbo's MAX 94mm.  2450 lbs.

BB Twin Turbo's 88 mm. 2400 lbs.

BB Single Unlimited Turbo 2350 lbs.

SB Twin Turbo MAX 94mm 2150 lbs.

SB Single Unlimited Turbo 2150 lbs.

 

Any 4 cyl. and 6 cyl. 2000 lbs.

 

SCSN ST LOUIS REQUIRED DECALS:

CLASS SPONSOR DECAL: "Precision Turbo" decal must be installed on base of windshield on the passenger side.

(Bottom left hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield)

 

SERIES TITLE SPONSOR DECALS: "JEGS" Decal must be placed on both left & right sides of race car in a highly visible location

 

EVENT SPONSOR DECAL: "Chassisworks" decal must be installed on base of windshield on the driver’s side.

(Bottom right hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield)

Decals will be available during registration at the SCSN Event Trailer

 

SCSN DECALS: "SCSN" Decal must be placed on both left & right sides of race car in a highly visible location on the rear ¼ panel or wing

 

CONTINGENCY PROGRAM: All contingency decals may appear anywhere on the vehicle in a clear and organized fashion. Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified. Most decals are available at the SCSN Event Trailer, but in the event the SCSN does not have the decals in stock, it is the racer's responsibility to obtain the proper decals to be eligible for the Contingency payout.

 

RACE DAY POLICY'S

 

FIELD SIZE & LADDER: Pro Nitrous Vs Boost will qualify for a 32-car field (with Alternates) and will be put on a 32-car Pro Ladder. If less than 32 cars enter, we will follow the NHRA "Official Ladder" for the field size....

 

ALTERNATES: If there are more than 32 cars qualifying for the 32-car field, we will start inserting alternates (To replace broken qualified cars) starting at spot 33 and so on... If you are an alternate, and a spot opens up, you will be inserted in the 1st available position before the drivers meeting on Saturday afternoon. This will give the qualified cars overnight to get the cars repaired.

 

TOW BACK & TOW VEHICLES: All Pro Mod entries are allowed to tow to staging lanes and to the track scales with a golf cart or another similar small tow vehicle. All carts will be subject to search by a SCSN Official at any time.

 

ALTERNATING LANES DURING QUALIFYING: Each Pro Mod driver must alternate lanes during qualifying. If you choose to ignore this rule, your second consecutive pass in the same lane on the same day will be disqualified.

 

AUTO-START: The Auto-Start System will be turned on with a 7-sec timeout

 

BYE-RUNS: All vehicles must take the tree, and run down the 1/8th mile
